If you love burnouts, then this is the video for you! In the diesel world the burnout can be many things. It can be the original use to heat up the tires and grab some traction on the track before making a pass. It can be a way to impress your buddies or a girl in a parking lot. But this group of diesel enthusiasts are using it in a completely different way.
They have come together to honor one of their own who recently passed away. This very large convoy assembled recently outside of Toops Diesel Performance in London, Ohio before the viewing and remembrance of Danny Toops. In the local community Toops was known to be very knowledgable and loved by all of his family, friends and within the diesel community.
These trucks all rallied together to help his legacy live on forever in the diesel community. One by one they take their turn to do their burnout in his honor. Each of them approach it differently but all have the same smokey result. Then the convoy rolls through town to their next location burning out as they go. They even end with a shout out to the power of their diesels from what appears to be an Amish gentlemen in town wanting to see a burnout.
What a beautiful tribute! Way to go diesel community. We use what we have to honor our fellow truckers and this certainly accomplished the goal. We, here at Diesel Army, didn’t know Danny, but with a turn out like this, we are sure he was am amazing guy.
