SEMA 2019: “The Marshal” ROXOR Build

Mahindra is changing the game of UTVs. Their ROXOR UTV emulates the looks and feel of an old Willys MB, but beefs it up with a vast catalog of optional upgrades and modifications. The catalog makes it possible for customers to have a vehicle that truly represents their personality. Case in point – the Marshal.

With its unique copper-tone paint and cowboy aesthetic, the Marshal projected an air of authority and cool ruggedness that was incredible to see at the show. We spoke with Mahindra’s Bob Fehan and Kevin Kersey to find out more about the build, and just how customizable a ROXOR could be.

The Marshal was Mahindra's take on a Western-themed ROXOR.

“The idea behind it was that there’s a new mudslinger in town,” said Fehan. “So you look at it, and there are things like the new front grille. This is something we may introduce as a new replacement grille. Other things, like the brush guard and pickup box, may go into production. We’re always looking at new ways to produce different models of the ROXOR.”

Kersey walked us through the build’s highlights. “We have some larger Maxxis tires on all corners, and modified the bumper,” he said. “We upgraded the seats and interior to go with the ‘Wild West’ feel. The exhaust is now a double-stack, which has been a big hit here at SEMA.”

From the wooden inlays in the bed to the leather-appointed interior, the Marshal had eye candy all over.

All of these aesthetic touches boost the well-designed ROXOR and its structural toughness. “We are the only ones in the UTV market with all-metal construction,” said Kersey. “The ROXOR has a boxed frame, steel body, turbodiesel engine, solid axles, and can tow up to 3,490 pounds.”

The Marshal was a hit with the off-road crowd and showcased the endless possibilities of upgrades and options available. If you’re in the market for a durable UTV, be sure to visit the official ROXOR website and Facebook page for more info.
