Perhaps not the largest of dyno events with just over 30 trucks hitting the rollers, the TI (Twisted Innovations) Rocktoberfest would certainly rank high in the fun and entertainment category of dyno events.

“The event went off without a hitch. The new facility was MORE than capable handling the amount of people who were there to spectate, and dyno. Everyone in attendance who has been to our events in previous years, was excited to see the new building and complimented several of the staff throughout the day. Having Doctor D Dj/ Host the event made calling trucks up next in line easy, along with playing great music all day, was a great addition to the event. Whistle Pig Smokehouse providing lunch for everyone was great, with the smoked burgers, and hot dogs! Amy Gilbert from Stainless Diesel was on hand selling Stainless Diesel goodies all day, giving their proceeds to the charity as well! Amy was, also, there taking pictures of the event along with Sandi Ashley from PS Photography,” said Joshua Stewart of Grand Rocks.

While the event was centered around the dyno pulls, there was so much more going on. There was a Chinese Auction and a 50/50 raffle. “We had over 30 auction prizes donated from our great sponsors like Powerflow Diesel Exhaust Systems, Lincoln Electric, Stainless Diesel, F-Bomb by Diesel Power Products, and JR Hofstetter ‘The Family Jeweler’ to name a few,” continued Stewart. In the background the DJ was mixing it up and proving the right upbeat music to keep the event moving. For food, Whistle Pig Smokehouse came out with some great food!

On top of it all, the reason for the dyno was to raise money for breast cancer awareness. They ended up donating $2,753 to University Hospitals‘ Ashtabula County Walk For The Cure! Kevin and Dawn Cragon (owners of TI) donated $25 of each pull, Whistle Pig Smokehouse donated the proceeds from lunch, Stainless Diesel donated their proceeds and then the combination 50/50 tickets, Chinese Auction, Event t-shirt sales and just donations completed the mix.

As far as the actual dyno itself, 30 trucks were broken into three class (by engine brand) and the winners were:

In addition to the dyno classes, there was, also, a burnout contest. Wesley Beech had a great day taking home his second winning trophy as he won the burnout contest.
