In yet another video release from Nissan USA, the company has stoked the fire of excitement even more about just exactly what the next-generation Nissan Titan will look like. In the past, Nissan has released just enough to get our mouths watering, with a video that displayed a truck with the old body style clad to disguise any res-styling performing some towing exercises.
This newest video above is part of what appears to be a series of visual releases leading up to the planned full reveal January 12, 2015 at the North American International Auto Show, held in Detroit, Michigan, and it gives us a few more interesting clues and gets our hearts beating faster.
We know that the new Nissan Titan pickup truck will be offered with an optional 5.0L V8 Cummins powerplant. That nugget of information has been splashed all over the place in the last six months or more, and Lord knows, we couldn’t be more happier to hear that the new Nissan Titan will have an engine available that can tow like a boss. We have to assume that in order to handle this extra torque and power, there will also be substantial frame, chassis, axle, and drivetrain upgrades to match the bountiful power that the 5.0L Cummins will produce. (More info on the engine here.)
Just recently we also learned that the next-generation Nissan Titan will have a more American-style body, reportedly something akin to the very popular Ram pickup trucks. This is a direct result of the influences to the project mid-stream from Fred Diaz. Diaz is an ex-Chrysler exec who headed up the Ram pickup truck division, and now is the senior vice president for sales, marketing and operations at Nissan USA.
Stay tuned! We will deliver all the latest breaking news leading up to and including the full debut of the new Cummins-equipped Nissan Titan pickup truck.
