Epic Fail, Duramax Drag Race Ends Bad

In an epic fail, recently caught on video, a Duramax pick-up truck, piloted by an unknown driver, appears to be in desperate need of some “good, old fashioned seat time” on the hot and sticky pavement of his local track to learn how to actually drag race. In an attempt to hammer it down on an unknown back road, in what appears to be somewhere in the Western part of the United States, the driver within seconds after launching can be seen veering off into his opponent’s lane narrowly missing the other driver in what could have been a nasty collision for all. Clearly, he’s not a professional or seasoned racer by any means.

With engines revving, the locals can be seen in the video gathered around for what by all accounts, upon viewing the video, appears to be street racing at it’s finest to bring home the Benjamins. Commencing somewhere along the Rocky Mountain baseline, with both drivers pulled up to the staging line, things quickly turn hairy upon take-off.

With bets placed and profit to be made we can garner on this particular day, the driver of the Duramax not only went home with a bruised ego, but empty pockets as well. Unsure what exactly broke on the Duramax, we can report fortunately both drivers walked away with no bodily harm.

Yet, another example of why inexperienced drivers, or for that matter any driver with a “need for speed” should take it to the track and not the streets. What are your thoughts? Do we have an experienced or inexperienced driver behind the wheel and what do you think happened to cause the captain of the Duramax to veer off course on take-off?

About the author

Bridgett Davis

Growing up in Greenwood, Indiana a short distance from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, my dad would take me to local car shows and events. Through this I gained my passion. Along with cars, I have always loved photography, writing, and graphic arts. However when attending college I did not pursue my passions. I played it safe and majored in business and marketing. After a few years in this field I determined this was not for me and began to pursue a writing and photography career. Landing me here with Power Automedia. I am also now the business owner of Bridgett's Toxic Creations. Specializing in automobile showboards, custom license plates, logos, and website headers. Living and breathing the Mustang life everyday in everyway. To be able to work in my field of passion is amazing and fun experience everyday. The best part is sharing a common passion with others.
