Last year at the SEMA show, Weld Racing introduced their new Rekon wheels for trucks and the off road crowd. The Rekon line has been a huge success over the past year, and Weld has decided to expand the line further.

The Rekon line will expand to offer 20 x 10-inch wheels, and into the eight-lug market as well. Weld’s Nick Rickels showed us the Area 51 style in eight-lug. This split eight-spoke design will be available to fit late model, eight-lug Ford, Chevy, and Dodge trucks. The wheel will be offered in 20 x 10-inch with five-inch backspacing.

“Our Rekon line has been going strong over the past year, and the biggest question we get is, ‘what do you have in eight-lug?’ Our Area 51 is our first step into eight-lug and later we will probably bring the F58 style into eight-lug as well,” says Rickels.

Beadlock

Beadlock wheels have been popular with off roaders for years. Weld is now offering the Rekon B58 in Beadlock for five and six lug Jeep and 1/2 ton truck applications. The five lug version will be a five spoke design, while the six-lug will have a six spoke design. “What that does is it plays on our F58 design that’s been very popular with the Jeep JK market and the Ford Raptor market. Everyone loved the wheel, but they wanted that in a beadlock as well.”

In the coming year Rickels says that Weld will be offering even more fitments to the Rekon lineup. In the B57 lineup this includes a 6 x 5.5-inch lug pattern with the larger 4.25-inch inside diameter hub bore. This will allow clearance for locking hubs for off road enthusiasts. “Later in the year we should also have an eight-lug version of the B57 for our more hardcore off-road guys.”
