Helping professionals, sports enthusiasts, and truck owners everywhere gain easier access to their cargo is CargoGlide and their innovative cargo solutions that allow truck and SUV owners to simply slide their heavy cargo right in or out of their vehicle. We have followed CargoGlide’s products for some time and as such, we wanted to pay David McInturf, Principal for CargoGlide, a visit at this year’s SEMA show to see what was new.

Traditionally, CargoGlide has been known for their heavy duty commercial 1500XL and 2000XL systems that offer 100-percent extension, 22-36 roller bearings, 1,500 to 2,000-pound load capacity, and the functionality of numerous slots to mount tie downs and various other attachments. The 1500XL and 2000XL systems are typically sent via freight and to combat that, McInturf explained “We now have a breakdown unit that comes disassembled in two boxes by UPS which saves the customer money.” 

Depending on the type of system you buy from them, you have the option of going for a 70-percent extension or a 100-percent extension to choose what’s best for your needs. McInturf was happy to introduce CargoGlide’s new aluminum series and said, “We now have our new lightweight aluminum series that is under 90-pounds for most short bed applications and offers 70-percent extension. We have came up with a patent pending design that is very rigid and can actually handle 1,000-pounds with nearly no deflection.”
