We all love a good tug a truck competition, whether it’s at an event or just out in a field near by. But, how many of us have ever thought about trying it in the ice and and the snow. Well, the guys over at Diesel Power Gear thought it would be worth a try. They grabbed two trucks. One tricked out 2010 Ram 3500 and a 2011 Ford F350 equaling a monster amount of 1200 hp between the two.
The two trucks took turn warming up with donuts preparing to do battle against one another. Then it was time for the main event. A chain was hooked up from one truck to another and it was on. They huffed and puffed and around in circles they went and went and went. As they continued to tug, they seemed to slide gracefully together as if they were doing some sort of figure skating routine on a very small donut shaped circle track. More and more circles. In the end , no winner was ever determined but they all seemed to have had a good time.
How do we know? Because the video ends by the trucks cooling down with more donuts one by one showing their singular flare and style. This was truly an interesting concept. The question, we are asking is..how much weight would it have taken for them to have been able to grab a hold and really made some strides in their tugging? Or, would it have taken chains? Or is it just out of the realm of possibilities in the snow in the ice.
chain broke!
Either way, looks like a hell of a good time!
