You can talk all you want about lighting for pickups and off-road vehicles, but by now everyone knows that banks (or bars) of multiple and powerful LEDs (light emitting diodes) are, excuse the pun, light years ahead of all other lighting technology when it comes to illuminating the road and trail ahead of you. And no company seems to know how to get this done better than Rigid Industries.
Don’t take our word for it. Rigid Industries’ LED lighting products are used by many of the world’s most successful off-road racing teams, and if you don’t think the best lighting possible is important to those guys, well …
Even more importantly, Rigid Industries just announced, as you’ll see in the video above, that it has rolled out more than 100 new products that will raise the bar again in the LED lighting industry. The company’s E-Series LED light bar was boosted 30 percent in output, its RDS-Series radius light bar, the new Hyperspot, and its Ford F-250/350 Super Duty Grille light stole the show during the company’s debut of new product during the 2013 SEMA Show held in Las Vegas.
The E-Series is a patented optics system, and is Rigid’s most powerful, most efficient LED optics system. It’s available in the Hyperspot configuration for projecting a concentrated beam of light over great distances. If you’re looking for a powerful source of light with a low profile, then the Rigid SR-Series is a great combination of output in a sleek design for applications with height restrictions.
Then there is the D-Series (Dually and D2), its brightest auxiliary lights. Small and compact, these 3×3-inch LED lights kick out more than 3,000 lumens. These are especially good for mounting on handle bars or UTV A-pillars. The D-Series lights are also perfect for mounting on stinger-style light bars, roof racks and in other tight locations on trucks and off-road vehicles where a small but powerful light is desired.
Projecting the same amount of light as the D-Series, Rigid’s SRQs are for low profile applications in which a taller light may not fit. Half the size of the D-Series and SRQ, the SRM series still projects an intense amount of light.
This interesting video not only walks you through some of the highlights of major new products from Rigid Industries, but includes interviews with experts from the company. For more information about LED lighting for your vehicle, check out the Rigid Industries website or Facebook page.
