Wehrli Custom Fabrication (WC Fab) recently held it’s highly popular Annual Open House, drawing diesel enthusiasts from across the Midwest to celebrate the latest in custom truck builds and performance upgrades. The event took place at its 112,000sq-ft facility in Dekalb, IL and features one of the largest gatherings of Show-n-Shine trucks in the region, with over 250 entries competing for top honors.
Truck owners displayed their meticulously customized rigs, showcasing everything from jaw-dropping paint jobs to intricately built and powder coated engine bays. The Show-n-Shine portion of the event was packed with a variety of trucks; both old and new diesel pickups, all vying for the attention of the judges and attendees alike. The atmosphere was electric, with the sound of 5″ straight pipes and compound turbos singing their way through the parking lot while others admired the craftsmanship on display.
In addition to the Show-n-Shine, the key attraction of the day was the chassis dyno competition. With the Northwest Dyno Circuit team on site, more than 50 participants flexed their muscle on the rollers. Excitement peaked when Greg Alberalla of Wrenchworkz ripped his 2005 Cummins to the tune of 3,337hp. Of course, massive applause and cheers from the crowd after a run like that!
WC Fab’s open house also featured facility tours, allowing visitors to get an inside look at their cutting-edge shop and fabrications processes. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with the WC Fab team about custom work, parts, and upcoming projects. Vendor booths lined the event, with major brands from the diesel performance industry showcasing their latest parts and products. There was no shortage of gear for tuck enthusiasts to explore.
This open house serves as a testament to Wehrli Fab’s commitment to the diesel community, bringing together enthusiasts to celebrate shared passion and innovation. Live auctions and raffles throughout the day collect money donated into the Wehrli Fab Scholarship fund that helps local students. Whether competing in the Show-n-Shine, testing on the dyno, or simply taking in the day’s events, everyone left with an unforgettable experience. WC Fab continues to solidify its position as a leader in our market space, with events like this continuing to spark inspiration for future builds while fostering camaraderie amongst friends.
