When it comes time to do a custom tune on your vehicle the tuner that you may want to use may not be local. Edge Products with its new offline distributor tool now allows from remote tuners to share custom tunes with consumers.
The program allows tuners to share a custom tune they have created to the customer to have them upload it to their vehicle using the Edge Insight Pro. This is not a cloud based product only the tuner and the end user will have access to the files.
“We created the distributor offline tool to give customers and tuners to send files between one another,” Matt Baker of Edge Products explained. “This allows tuners to work remotely and not have the need to have the car in the shop. Only the user and the tuner will be the only ones to see the file. Can work directly with the customer all offline.“
The Insight Pro can read stock files, store up to four custom tunes, support both diesel and gas applications, display dozens of parameters, multiple layout screens, data logging, EAS compatible for additional accessories, performance testing, and diagnostics. It is available in the CS2 (PN 86000) or the CTS2 (PN 86100).
The distributor offline tool works with both the Insight Pro CTS2 and the CS2.
The tool uses HP tuners VCM tuning suite and supports vehicles like the Cummins and late model GM gas car and truck. The newest supported vehicle is the 2003-2005 5.9-liter Cummins. For more information on the product and see the full list of supported vehicles be sure to check out Edge’s website.
